Handspun Blanket and Bear

Handwoven Coverlet

This beautiful baby blanket of plain weave and huck blocks with fringe woven on four sides was made by Sandy Kupper. The blue is dyed with indigo. Lotus Baker took the thrums from this project and created the matching bear.

Natural dyed silk scarf

Donna Alger took a workshop on natural dyes from Michelle Whipplinger at the Conference of Northern California Handweaves in April 2005. This elegant silk scarf with a painted warp is woven from 30/2 silk set at 32 epi.

Grey Hanspun Socks

June Andrus wove these beautiful and practical placemats in plain weave from cotton set at 15 3pi. The thick filler yarn is and acrylic that alternates with a thin cotton weft.
